zippo schmipo

A new daily paintworks challenge. This did not make for a relaxing Sunday paint session. I was so tight. I did love the idea of using a limited palette. Crazy how many beautiful colors you can get from burnt sienna, UM blue and Tite white. Lovely. Michael Naples is an incredible artist. I could never paint as realistically as he does. Even though he paints very realistically there is still a slight looseness and lots of personality in his work. This is painted on a 5 x 5 gallery wrap canvas.
I need to go take a nap now.

  1. I love your painting and your title Carol. I don't think the challenge lends itself to a loose painting, it will be interesting to see what others come up with.

  4. Carol,
I like that your lighter has a sense of "bling" to it! Just a tad more shine:) I think it is wonderful! I am proud of the title too!
