cousins
I painted this a little over a year ago. The children in the painting are my son and my niece. Missy is getting married tomorrow and my son is graduating college next weekend!! Time really flies. Both great kids who have matured into wonderful adults. So thankful for the hundreds of photographs and video I have taken in my lifetime. Helps to keep special memories alive.

This is such a sweet painting. I just love to see children squatting down to focus on something - a bug, flower - and concentrate on that one thing. You really captured that.
ReplyDeleteI love when you show these kinds of paintings, Carol. I think they are your forte, truly. You capture that nostalgic notion I have of innocence and delight that children used to have. Maybe it is just me but they just seem so old right from the getgo these days. This is beautiful!
