Marshall Tucker

Yes, I gave my froo froo shih tzu dog a macho name. Marshall Tucker was one of my favorite bands in high school so my dog pays homage to them. He does not really like their music. A little too much energy. You can tell from this pose that he likes the slower tunes like James Taylor and Dan Fogelberg. Those loud tunes interrupt his naps. I chose this pose for Tucker because this is the way I usually see him. He really is a great dog and so much fun to have around now that my sons are all in college. Yes, three in college. Two to graduate this summer.

  1. He is sooo cute!! He has the same look as Maggie, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, when she is "doing her day!" Great job!

  4. He looks like his head is resting on someone's shoulder, much like a baby. What a gorgeous boy Marshall is! Despite all my years of teaching and preaching and showing my kids, I could get neither of them in college. I so wish they had gone. Good for you for getting all of your kids to go!

  5. Carol, if I didn't know better, I would think you have painted our "Missy" from years past...well, except for her underbite that always exposed her lower teeth! You and Marshall Tucker have brought back memories. Well done!

  6. Maybe Marshall is really wishing you'd get into Perry Como or Frank Sinatra. He looks like the kind of guy who goes for swoon!

Just found your site, you do really nice paintings while sniffing gas fumes! I love your loose control of thick gooey paint. But you haven't explained about the dozen cans of cream of mushroom soup...
